Subject expertise

I can provide subject matter expertise on a one off, or longer-term basis.

In 2016 I provided the largest English credit union with an IT strategy looking at systems landscape, requirements, approaches to infrastructure and evaluating options. Two large credit union strategies were completed in 2017 and 2018.

I have extensive knowledge of the systems landscape. Including established platform providers and new entrants, I can advise on functionality, contractual models, systems design and integrations.

I have extensive experience of applications for authorisation. Seven  Part IV permission applications were successful between 2002 and 2015.

I am currently running applications for Credit Information Services and Registered Account Information Services Provider.

In 2013 I supported a client censured by the FSA. With our support the organisation was re-granted its permissions and began to trade profitable within 12 months.

On behalf of two clients I was the first consultant to take non-banking entities through a new process called mobilisation.

With cloud services becoming the norm, I have detailed knowledge of SYSC8 outsourcing regulations.

I have a background in money advice and alternative lending. During phase one of Credit Union Expansion Project I oversaw the development and deployment of an automated lending platform. This popular system has enabled credit unions to reduce operational costs and bad debt charges, whilst enhancing the customer journey by improving loan turnaround times.
